Happy Hump Day! Only two days til Friday ;) We can do it!
For this week's HDH, I decided to try out a little experiment and curl my hair with socks. Yes, socks. I had heard of this technique from a friend, and thought it would be a fun thing to try.
Here's the finished look:
Just kidding! I wouldn't advise you go out in public like this. This is what I looked like straight out of bed, no makeup, and a full hair of socks. ...the things I do for this blog.......
Unfortunately, I think I curled my hair while it was still too wet (I did this straight out of the shower), and the curls didn't come out quite as bouncy as I would have liked. But I did get some really pretty wavy curls:
(Hehe, I took these pictures in my brother's room where the lighting was best. That's why there's a bunch of sporty wallpaper in the back...) I have the top sections back and clipped :)
Later it started to get really hot out, so I pulled it back into a sheek side pony.
I think ponytails look so much cuter when the hair is curled.
And even though it was close to 90s and humid that day, I was still able to keep my curls lasting with Not Your Mother's All Eyes on Me hairspray. And that is quite an accomplishment; my hair is usually pin straight, so I have a major amount of trouble keeping curls lasting long. Add in some heat, and they're done for. But thankfully, NYM saved the day!
All Eyes on Me claims an extra firm hold with an added shine, and I gotta say, that's truth! My curls pretty much never make it to the end of the day, but they did with this magical stuff!
The smell is very lemon-y, and slightly reminiscent of a cleaning agent.., but it's nothing awful, and I really don't mind it.
It doesn't make your hair really crunchy or anything, but somehow manages to keep your style lasting!
