Hulk Dazzles for Brazil - How the Premier League's Summer Transfer Targets Fared Last Week

By Sungame31 @sungame31

The Porto forward, who has been linked with a big-money switch to Chelsea, bagged a double against Denmark, while Borussia Dortmund's Shinji Kagawa was also on target for Japan

A string of international friendlies have given the chance for players to impress before hitting the grand stage of Euro 2012
Hulk looks set to leave Porto this summer and the forward will have added a few million to his price tag following a barnstorming display in Brazil's 3-1 victory over Denmark on Saturday. The 25-year-old netted two of his side's goals, the first a long-range effort while the second, which came just before half-time, was the result of a powerful run and calm finish. Reports suggest that Chelsea are leading the chase for Hulk, while Porto are believed to be willing to accept a fee lower than his £80 million release clause.
Fulham are reportedly in the hunt for Burak Yilmaz this summer and the 26-year-old bagged a double in Turkey's 3-2 defeat against Finland on Saturday. The Trabzonspor forward got off the mark with an assured finish in the box after 21 minutes and added a second after the break with a well-placed header from 14 yards out.
Eden Hazard continues to remain coy over his future and with Manchester City, United and Chelsea all in the hunt, the Lille ace netted a penalty in Belgium's 2-2 draw against Montenegro on Saturday.
Another Manchester United target got on the scoresheet last week as Shinji Kagawa grabbed the game's opener in Japan's 2-0 win over Azerbaijan on Wednesday. The Dortmund midfielder found space inside the box and dummied his marker before curling his effort high into the goal.
Arsenal target Olivier Giroud grabbed two assists after coming off the bench in the second half of France's revival against Iceland. The Montpellier striker set up Franck Ribery's strike, as well as Adil Rami's late winner which secured a 3-2 victory for Laurent Blanc's side.

BAD WEEK...

Christian Eriksen featured in Denmark's 3-1 defeat to Brazil but the 20-year-old, who has been linked with Manchester United in the past, was overwhelmed by the South American midfield and was taken off just after the hour mark.
Luuk De Jong featured for the Netherlands in a friendly against Bayern Munich last Tuesday but struggled to influence. The Twente striker was also an unused substitute in Bert van Marwijk's side's surprise 2-1 defeat to Bulgaria on Saturday.
Joao Moutinho recently hinted that he would be willing to move to the Premier League this summer, but the Porto midfielder failed to provide any attacking input during Portugal's lacklustre stalemate against Macedonia on Saturday.
