Maine West led 8-3 through six innings in Tuesday’s game against Highland Park, but the Giants scored 8 runs in the sixth, including a grand slam by Sam Nevers. HP held off the Warriors in the bottom of the sixth and seventh innings and ended up winning 12-9. I reports from Des Plaines in this week’s HP Sports Brief.
