Here's my last post for now in the neon range. The top I wore in my last outfit was pretty out there, but as I've told you, there are ways to wear neon in a more subtle way. I guess the most subtle way, are neon nails. But I wanted to do something different than just polishing my nails all neon, that's why I came up with this incredibly easy tutorial. No tools needed! Just neon nail polish (mine is from American Apparel) and black nail polish. And maybe a little top coat.So here's how I did it:
Paint the bottom of your nails with some neon nail polish. Paint it in a rough triangle, but it doesn't need to be perfect. I used two neon layers to make the neon pop a little more.
Get your black nail polish and paint the sides of your nails black, making sure you're doing it a criss cross way in the middle. Make diagonal stripes first if you like, that makes it even easier. Or make one side black first, and than the other. Try it out a little.
And, well, that's all there is to it!I really like how they've turned out and obviously you can do this with any colors you like!Orange and black would rock with Halloween, but I can imagine gold and denim blue working very well together too.
