Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon mild shampoo ( if possible, take unscented shampoo)

Take all these ingredients in a blender and blend well till you get a smooth paste. If you make shampoo with the ingredients mentioned above, you will get enough shampoo to wash medium to long hair once. If you have really long hair, then you must add a little more of the ingredients. If there is shampoo left after you have applied ion your hair, you can put it in the refrigerator and use it within 36 hours. This shampoo is very beneficial for those with damaged hair as well as for people having dry and brittle hair. If the damage caused is due to the hair being over exposed to the sun, them this is one of the shampoos that you must certainly use.

Egg shampoo Preparation Method 2:

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons of mild shampoo (baby shampoo is the best choice)

Take a bowl and beat the egg till it becomes soft and foamy. When you blend the yolk in the shampoo, do it gently. Damp your hair with lukewarm water before applying the shampoo. Now take half of the shampoo you have made and massage it well on your scalp and the hair. You will not find it producing too much of suds. But this does not mean that it will not clear your scalp. Do not worry about it. After massaging it well on your scalp and hair, rinse your hair well and remove the shampoo. Now apply the other half of the shampoo on your hair. Massage well and rise off with water. When you apply it for the second time, take care not to shampoo for more than 60 seconds. Wash your hair well with lukewarm water.

Tips:

  • If the smell of eggs is not tolerable for you, you can use some essential oils like vanilla or lavender essence. These provide a wonderful fragrance to the shampoo and you can easily use the shampoo without getting affected by the smell of eggs.
  • When you use egg shampoo, never wash your hair with hot water. This will make the smell of egg more prominent. So, wash your hair with warm water and then with cold water.

Apply the conditioner on your scalp well by dividing your hair into different sections. Leave it for about 30 minutes and then wash off well with water. This will deeply condition your hair and keep your hair well hydrated and smooth.

Ingredients:

  • Egg white of an egg for oily hair
  • 1 full egg for dry hair
  • 2 to 3 drops of lemon juice

Take the egg and add a few drops of lemon juice to it. This will mask the unpleasant smell of the egg. You can take two eggs instead of 1 if you have a long and thick hair. Beat the egg well till it becomes foamy. Apply on your hair and scalp and make sure that it completely covers your hair. Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave for 20 minutes. Rinse well with cold water and then you may use the egg shampoo you have made.
