By Girlratesworld @girlratesworld

Baggy eyes are something most people deal with on a regular basis. Whether you have these due to old age or because you’re just plain tired, there are things you can do to get rid of them. Although it will take some time, exploring natural remedies is well worth it. There are a lot of effective remedies that can help you avoid needing to get surgery in the future.

1. Potatoes

That bag of potatoes you have sitting on your counter is better than for just recipes. You can use these to get rid of your under eye circles so that you don’t even have to go to the store. All you have to do is wash the potato off and then cut it into thin slices. From here, put the slices on your eyes and lay down for around 20 minutes. The natural vitamins and minerals inside of potatoes will help get rid of puffiness and make your eyes look more youthful. Do this on a daily basis to get the best results.

2. Witch Hazel

Witch hazel is great to have around the house because it can be used for so many different skin issues. All you have to do is put a few drops of this into a soft dampened towel. After this, place the towel over your eyes and let it sit there for a half an hour. This will have the best results if you do it on a daily basis. Just make sure to avoid putting the witch hazel actually in to your eyes, as this can cause irritation.

3. Ice and Cold Water

Both ice and cold water can reduce swelling underneath your eyes. You can either splash your face with cold water or hold a bag of ice cubes on your bags until they melt. Doing this in the morning should reduce a lot of the swelling so that you can apply makeup or go about your eye without being self-conscious about your eyes.

4. Rosewater

Rosewater is another effective remedy that can soothe those bags. This comes in spray from, which means all you have to do is spray in your face while your eyes are closed. Rosewater smells really good and it can even help even out your skin tone, so there is no reason to wash it off after you spray it. Use this during the day, in the morning or at night to help get rid of the bags.

5. Tea Bags

Freeze some tea bags and use these on a daily basis to soothe your under-eye bags. This is one of the most common remedies because the tea inside of the bag can help draw out toxins from your skin. When you have fewer toxins in your skin it will look a lot better and reduce chances of the bags coming back in the future.

Tips:

- If you don’t have any ice, freeze some ketchup or mustard packets. These can be used a number of times and are easy to hold.

- Use natural creams that are meant to reduce bags. These are available at drug stores and department stores, which means there is something for any budget.
