Henry & Fleetwood: On The Forest Floor

Posted on the 30 March 2015 by Hctf @hctf

Scottish musicians Martin John Henry (De Rosa) and Gillian Fleetwood (State Broadcasters) first when they were on tour with Agnes Obel. Henry was the support act and Fleetwood played harp in her band. They hit it off musically and formed a dreamy folk duo. Their debut EP On The Forest Floor is an ode to the British landscape and its forests. The title track is inspired by the forgotten village Rhiwddolion near Betws y Coed in North Wales.

The duo only needs harp, synthesiser, guitar and soft-spoken vocals to paint a complete picture, the tracks flowing like a bubbling brook. On The Forest Floor is a rural record that can serve as a means to get away from the bustle of the big city.

On The Forest Floor is released thru Olive Grove Records. Release date: April 13th.
