Haul: AliExpress
By Herugliness
Hello! ~♥ I want to share a small haul from AliExpress today. AliExpress is a platform for Taobao sellers to sell their items directly overseas, so basically you can find all these items on Taobao too.
Many of you have probably seen these tights somewhere before as you can see them in a lot of Dolly Kei, Cult Party Kei, but also Mori Kei outfits. I fell in love the first time I saw them, but to my understanding they are originally from Grimoire, a Japanese Dolly Kei store, which does not ship abroad. However, I found them on Taobao multiple times, and in the end also On AliExpress. I doubt that they are really original Grimoire tights, as they are extremely expensive, but I only paid around $12 for them from a seller called Great Socks. I didn't expect much and thought they were super-thin see-through tights that would probably break after wearing them once (which was what has happened with my Tattoo tights from Ebay), but they are of really thick material and awesome quality! I am still drooling over them and over how awesome, pretty, and well-made they are!
If you are looking for them I can really recommend this seller's version! I got such stockings from Ebay too, but they are more stretchy (not so great, because the cats look weird when stretched too much), they are much more pink than the version I got from Great Socks and they had a hole in them when they arrived.
This shirt is something I have seen being sold in basically every Mori Girl Taobao store I keep track of and I think I have also seen more than one seller selling it on AliExpress. I already showed this in my last Outfit post here. Mine was bought from Artemis's sight. It is a bit out of my usual Mori Girl pattern, as it is quite "colorful", but I still think it fits my style well. This shirt is a two-piece shirt, with a underdress-part (which I find a bit too short to use it as a dress alone) and a thin shirt with a a bit retro-looking squirrel painting on it. The shirt actually has sheer leopard-prints on it! Usually animal-print patterns are something I really dislike, but here it is very subtle and looks quite good. The squirrel painting makes me think of autumn and I wonder whether I will be able to till use/coordinate this once it becomes colder.
The last thing from my latest AliExpress haul are these butterfly clips, which I bought in a set of 5 from Candice Ma's DIY accessory store. I had bought one single Butterfly hairclip from a Taobao Seller once before, and liked it apart from the fact that it was made of some kind of soft paper and was very easy to break. Well, I am afraid these were a bit more disappointing. They are made of paper too, though it is more solid, almost like think plastic and it looks much more unnatural than the one I had bought before. The colors are also super bright and flashy and they are quite big. I did not get to pick which colors were sent to me and one arrived broken. Cannot recommend this and will probably get back to the other seller on Taobao for more of the other kind.
That's all from me for now, though I still have some more stuff I need to take photos off.
