Happy America Day!

By Crossstitchyourheart @TMNienaber

It’s the 4th of July and that means we have the day off, lots of bbq, and fireworks (although we’ve had unseasonably dry weather which means there will probably also be lots of idiot-fires).  In honor of the 4th I did America nails last night:

I was going to do stripes instead of dots but I got lazy and dots are easier.

I also have lots of cross-stitch updates pictures for you!  It’s all just the back-stitch and details, but it looks cool.

What everything that’s finished looks like together

Close up of the flags and a window box. Notice the decent french knots I managed this time!

A close up of the people. This is probably my favorite part of the design so far. I love how the red works to outline the black. Also notice the backstitch nonsense writing on the board behind them and (even more) decent french knots in the window box.

Well, that’s all I have for today.  I figured since Monday was such a wordy post I’d try to keep this one short and sweet.  Now, in the true spirit of the holiday I’m going to go see Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.  Hope you all are having a wonderful middle of your week.  I feel a little cheated that the 4th is a wednesday this year because that means no 3 day weekend.  Oh well.
