Hair | Youtube Gurus I Heart and My Favourite Curly Videos

By Becca @glowgetterbecca
This time last month I was singing the praises of natural curly hair. I thought I'd make it into a little series, so this month I'm going to share my favorite videos from the curly Youtube Gurus who inspired me to go curly in the first place.

P.S. If you're growing your hair and you straighten it a lot, I cannot recommend reverting to your natural hair enough, if you can. My hair has grown SOO much since going curly - about 4 inches in 4 months, which is the fastest ever for me. And it's longer than it's ever been!

SunKissAlba
I love SunKissAlba! After watching her first I think curly routine video, I went out and literally bought every single one of the products she recommended (except for Shea Moisture's Curl Enhancing Smoothie, which was sold out. Poo). But I just love her hair. This is the video that I watched and was inspired by, and it's still really relevant, but she has uploaded a few updates since. She also does lots of curly hairstyles which is very useful.

I love this hairstyle that she does too. It's so easy and effective! I do it all the time...

Mahogany Curls
Jess does a really good job of explaining the CG (Curly Girl) Method, if that's the route you want to go down. When I first went curly, I watched this. Pre-warning: it's rather long, but it is full of good stuff! This video really made me decide to persevere with my curly hair and give it a proper go. Anyone who has similar hair to me (type 3c-4a) will know, if they've straightened for years and years, it's not always easy to go back to your natural hair. For me anyway, my hair had completely lost it's curl pattern and was basically just all-over frizz. I'm still working on it!

Jade is my newest discovery and she has some really great videos. I especially love the curly ones, of course. I know I won't be this successful if I attempt a roller set, but I've wanted to try this for so so long. I love how soft her curls look! Even without a roller set, her curls are amazing though.

BrittneyNGray/Brittney Wins
Brittney Gray is one of the first Youtubers I ever watched. She's since moved to another channel, but I've loved her since the beginning! This is one of my favorite videos of hers from her old channel:

You can find her new videos here, including an updated "big curly hair routine".

ShamelessMaya
Shameless Maya is AWESOME! And so are her curly videos. Ok so she may have shaved off her hair, but she had her reasons. And this to me, only makes her more awesome! Her curly hair routine is a great place to start. You can watch all her pre-chop curly hair videos here

Do you have any favorite curly hair bloggers/vloggers? Let me know - I love watching new vids!!xx
