Hair Lacking Volume? Is Keranique The Answer?

By Elisabeth @onecutedoc

Attention Beauty and Hair Lovers! Is your hair lacking volume? Mine sure does! I am always throwing my hair in a ponytail or a messy bun to hide my lack of volume. Does this sound familiar? I have such fine and thin hair. I have struggled with getting volume in my hair for my whole life. I have tried hundreds of products. Some of the products I have tried are complete wins and some are complete fails. I want to share with you a product that claims to help volumize your hair.

The product is…Keranique Scalp Stimulation Shampoo and Volumizing Keratin Conditioner.  This system is a very luxurious hair care system. It is supposed to make your hair volumized and silky smooth. I couldn’t wait to try this system and see how it worked on my hair. Let’s get to the review!

My Thoughts:

To be honest, this system is not my favorite. It really does add tons of volume and thickness (as you can see in the pictures) but at a price. I loved how much volume my hair had. However, it made my hair look fried. I didn’t even use any type of heat styling. I am not sure if I am using this system wrong. My hair felt like straw and I hate that feeling. As the pictures show, my ends look terrible. My hair also tangles like crazy with this system. My leave-in conditioners didn’t even fix this problem.

It does add a lot of texture for styling which is very nice. I just didn’t like it for days that I want to wear my hair natural. I am going to assume these products just didn’t work with my hair chemistry. I was really hoping they did. However, I did like the cooling sensation the conditioner gives (really felt like it was stimulating my scalp). If you have ever tried these, what did you think of them? It might just be my stubborn hair. I really am not a fan of the fluffy hair look. I need to try this system for a whole month and see if it truly helps.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I am not a fan of this system. It really does add volume to my hair and I loved it. However, I just can’t stand the straw-like feeling. I am guessing this system just doesn’t work with my hair chemistry. What do you think of this system? Are you grabbing it for yourself? What are your favorite volumizing products?
