A list of all the events I track can be found here.
A higher-percentage indicates that the player has spent more time defending in the defensive-zone. Expressed differently, the higher the percentage, the more time the opposition has spent with possession in the Habs' zone.
As a team, the Canadiens actually contributed a lower percentage of events while defending in game 7 than they averaged during their series with the Boston Bruins. Defensemen spent more time defending in game 7 than their series average, while centremen and wingers spent less time.
Andrei Markov contributed the highest percentage of events while defending in the defensive-zone, while Daniel Briere actually contributed zero defensive-events in the defensive-zone in game 7. Max Pacioretty, and David Desharnais contributed a limited number of defensive-events in the d-zone, while Michael Bournival, and Lars Eller contributed the most defensive d-zone events among Habs forwards.
