With it's bright and fancy packaging, the Guerisson 9-Complex Cream was the first product from the BNT Beauty Box that caught my eye.
The Guerisson line is actually from the beauty corporation, Claire's, which was established in 1997 in Korea and started with dental care and has, since then, branched out to several different beauty products as well as made it's market in China and USA. Claire's also has different beauty brands such as LUMACA, BlancSecret, wonlyo, Cloud9 and Adarga. \
The Guerisson line consists of 3 products, the Mayu Hydrogel Golden sheet mask, the 9 Complex Cream and the 9 Complex essence. The products are made from German horse oil, an ingredient that claims to repair skin damage, especially towards acne scars, stretch marks and acne scars. It also claims to whiten and brighten skin as well as give 72 hours of moisture. It is said to be great for people with sensitive skin as well as babies.
As I mentioned above, the packaging is bright, an orange with brown accent color. It also has a horse design as it's logo which I presume is to represent the main ingredient which is the horse oil. The packaging is fancy and it comes in a well made box and the product itself in a small glass jar with a rose gold tin cap. It also comes with a small spatula wedged in between the bottle and the box, and is labeled in gold, "Guerisson."
The cream is buttery yellow in color and is very rich. It It isn't really a thick cream but it feels really rich and moisturizing on the skin. In fact, upon application, it melts right into the skin and it doesn't leave a layer of grease or moisture like most creams do. Although this is the case, this cream is very much hydrating and soothing to the skin. I love that it comes with a spatula, thus making it really hygienic for use. The cream also has a citrus scent to it, which I really like.
This product claims to reduce and repair acne scars and hyperpigmentation, as well as whiten the skin, however, in the weeks that I have been using this, I haven't noticed a significant change in skin tone. I do think this is a really good hydrating cream although, I'm not confident that it can moisturize the skin for up to 72 hours. I really haven't tried putting it on that test since I'm just can't stand not washing my face for more than 24 hours.
Overall, I think it's a great product and I'm currently loving it along with all the products UI'm trying out for bnt this month. It is a good night cream and you can even get away with using it as a day time moisturizer. Since it doesn't leave any greasy layers on the skin, it is a good makeup primer as well. I actually recommend its use as a primer for people with dry skin, since it would provide adequate moisture and not make you look greasy throughout the day and it also wouldn't give you dry patches.
This product retails at Claire's website for ₩ 54, 000 ($54) but is on sale for ₩ 36,000 ($36). The price is pretty steep for a 70g jar and just basing it on that price, it is a mid-high end beauty product. I've checked online for price comparisons and I've seen it retail for as low as $18 through eBay, and as much as $148 in BeeCrazy, a online beauty shop based in Hong Kong. I think that's too much for just a jar so I would suggest scouring the web for a cheaper price point but always make sure that the seller is trusted so you don;t get knock off products. *This product was sent to me for review but as always, my reviews are honest and based on my own opinions and experience.
