Graymelin Vintage CC Base Cream Review

By Urhappybunnie @joaniebunnie
I believe most beauty brands have been releasing their own version of BB creams and CC creams. To be honest, I haven't tried a single CC cream since I'm not too interested in it. However, I was excited to try this Graymelin CC Base Cream that was included in my BNT Beauty Box sent by BNTNews International.
As I said in my review of the Verikos Ultra Matte Velvet Primer, Korean packaging now includes English descriptions of the product. According to the product description, it is "formulated to refine uneven skin tone and enhance skin's natural beauty color and for intensive skin care this unique formula provides plenty of moisture and nourishment to leave skin hydrated for smoother and clear looking skin as well  as help dull skin bright and radiant that will bring out your natural beauty."

This CC Base Cream also features:
  1. CC means "color correction" that brings out natural balance of skin tone for a more youthful and glowing complexion.
  2. It is kind of BB cream that is designed to help makeup appear natural which will bring out a more natural beauty.
  3. Contain micro color capsule to reveal a clear and healthy complexion and it is free of paraben, talc, and mineral oil that be used for all skin type without any skin trouble.

The packaging of this product is quite simple but looks high end to me. The squeeze tube makes it easy to dispense just as much product as you want so it's perfect.

Sorry ladies, been having problems with taking hand swatches lately... the picture just turns out so weird but I'm glad it didn't affect the color of the product in the photos
The product itself has a white base, and as it said in the description, it contains micro color capsule that is a pigment that will match the skin color and even out the skin tone once blended into the skin. It is thick in consistency unlike most BB creams. I found out after trying this product for a week that it is a little bit hard for me to blend it out, probably because I have drier skin. Once blended out, it matches the skin very well, evened out my redness and gave me a brighter and healthy looking skin.
This is quite a good product to keep the skin hydrated; even topped or mixed with a foundation, this will give the skin a dewy finish which I quite like. However, this product makes you oily throughout the day and I'm not really down with that. Since I have normal to dry skin, I usually only get a little bit of oil in the T-zone but this product makes my whole face oily.

If like me you have dry skin and experience dry patches from time to time, it is best to exfoliate well since I find that it really clings on to these dry, flaky skin and is just unflattering. It is not noticeable in the photo above, but it clung on around my nose where there was a little bit of dryness.
If you have a really good skin to start with, you can definitely walk out the door with just this product on. If you want a little more coverage, you can mix your foundation.. It is a pretty good product especially if you have extremely dry skin and rarely get oily. For people with oily skin, it is better to lightly dust this product with a powder.
I do like this product, though I have to be careful in using it. I read Carina's (a fellow BNTGirl) review on this particular product as well and she has a different experience with it. You can go and check out her review for comparison and let me know what you think. :) I believe that every product works differently on everybody that's why it's good to read and watch product reviews so we'll know what product will work out for us.
*This product was sent to me for review but as always, my reviews are honest and based on my own opinions and experience.
