Be a Bombshell Cosmetics – Blush (£9.95)
Initially I thought this was a bronzer but it’s actually a bronzy blush with a rosy tint. It’s a bit dark for my pale skin, but it is highly pigmented and smooth.
EuPhidra – Pearly Lip Gloss (£11.90)
A subtle and sparkly pearl lip gloss which is also free from perfume and paraben. It contains vitamin E and oryza sativa oil to protect and treat lips; making it both stylish and conditioning.
Butter London – 3 Free Nail Lacquer-Vernis (£12)
I’ve been wanting to try a Butter nail polish for ages, and this is a nice chocolate brown color. It’s rich, smooth and reasonably long-lasting, although didn’t quite manage longer than 2 days before the chips started appearing.
Philip B – African Shea Butter Gentle & Conditioning Shampoo (£9.50)
Promising dazzle and shine, this is a good haircare solution which will make hair look and feel good.
Absolute! – Perfume Stick (£9.50)
A solid perfume stick with a winter wonderland fragrance. It’s subtle and small, and handy to keep in your bag. Mine has arrived broken, but I did find that the smell doesn’t last long and isn’t noticeable unless you press your wrist to your nose.
So Susan Cosmetics – Water-based Pure Luminizer (£25)
The most expensive product in the box, this luminizer has been designed to give the wearer a glow, although it’s quite white which I think might have been better with a golden or pink tint.
Total box value = £77.85
The contents of the box weren’t a mystery when I bought them, but I did feel a little bit underwhelmed. It’s a nice treat getting a selection of full-sized products, especially from some very good brands, but I’m not sure I’ll be purchasing any of them.
I am very happy with the chocolate brown Butter nail polish, although I’m a little unsure about the other products. The Absolute! perfume stick isn’t one I would choose to wear, and the luminizer looks odd on my pale skin, as does the Be a Bombshell blush which is a tad too dark. Applied lightly it’s alright, but looks bad with the luminizer and the pearly lip gloss unless you’ve got darker skin.
