Girl, Where Have You Been? Sometimes Change is Necessary
I know some of you may or may not be wondering “where is Shauntee?” She hasn’t posted any reviews, she hasn’t been shopping, and she hasn’t posted anything about dating. Well loves, yours truly has taken on a new adventure that has left me tired and drained. The task of MOVING, as I’m sure most of you know, moving is an exhausting ordeal! I’m very grateful and happy to be making positive changes in my life, but at the same time, juggling work and packing up my life has taken up quite a bit of my time and a whole lot of my energy. But sometimes change is a necessary.
At the beginning of this year, I told myself that it was time for a change of scenery. The phrase “you cannot prosper without change” that my sister kept drilling in my head stuck with me. I knew that before the end of the summer, I would be moving, but I just didn’t know where. I asked for specific things in a home and I’m very blessed to have gotten everything I wished, hoped, and dreamed for. I knew when I sealed the deal at the end of June that my move date would creep up on me like an unwanted call from an ex boo. Yet, I did what people do sometimes; procrastinate. A month seems like a long time away to get everything together until you wake up one morning and realize “uh, I’m moving in two weeks”. I realized that the major down fall of being a shopper like myself is that if you move you have to pack all that stuff up.
Although I’m in packing hell at the moment, I’m super excited to be moving to the southwest suburbs on the outskirts of Chicago. I’m still shopping but for something a little different; furniture. I welcome the change and embrace all the good that comes from it. Change is sometimes necessary to move forward in life. Have you ever felt stuck? Have you ever felt that you weren’t getting anywhere in your current environment? Well I have, so I’m slowly crossing off the things I want to change on my list one by one. Change is necessary!
I haven’t gone anywhere and I do miss updating my blog a few times a week. Unfortunately, yours truly is tired but it’s all for a good reason. I’ll be back on track soon
