Girl's Guide to Chic: Spring Makeup Trends

By Reinesoignee @RSoignee

Yet another fashion week is in progress, all the attention is drawn to New York these days, it's the place to be. Lucky lucky bloggers post about newest and hottest things in makeup and fashion, taking their own pictures for the blogs, Instagramming, twitting and bringing us everything fresh from runways and backstages. Not so lucky ones just follow it all enviously and ramble about how amazing it must have been to be invited. Oh well, life is life! To be quite frank, it's hard to believe the designers are showing autumn\winter collections already, but that's exactly the way we do it now - think about autumn when it's not even spring yet!

I was looking through spring\summer collections and their summaries and trend-picks the other day. There are a few that stand out for me, so I'll try to give them a go this spring.

Red Lip. Jackpot!!! Spring is usually more natural-toned and all about neutrals but 2013 is expected to be a bit of exception. I'm a big lover of red lipsticks of all shades and I adore a beautiful 'in your face' red mouth. So I'll follow Rochas, Prada, Gaultier and Jonathan Saunders and wear my lipsticks bright and proud. My Dior #999 Celebrity Red, Chanel Rouge Allure #09 Lover and YSL Rouge Volupté #12 would once again make me feel on top of the world. All three are very luxurious with great formulas and they all last beautifully so I think I'm all set in this case.

Eyeliner. I rarely leave the house without it to be quite frank and I loved what they did for Roberto Cavalli -  eyeliner on top and bottom, elongating the eye and making it look a bit narrower at the same time. Such a sultry look!

Bold Brows. I'm not a fan of drawn eye brows and mine are not exactly bold either because I used to overpluck them for years. Now they've grown back a fair bit but they are not exactly the fullest and prettiest. So what I'm really trying to tell you here... I loved the bold brows they did for Versace spring\summer 2013! And I will give it a try.

And the last one would be glowy skin. Doesn't need a lot of explaining I guess. Lots of sleep, taking care of my skin with a couple of new creams from french pharmacy and a good foundation are in order.

Are you planning to incorporate any of these trends into your makeup routine?
