Make it Hockey then Hoops Saturday afternoon! Following the Penguins 3:00 pm game versus the Winnipeg Jets, support the neighboring Duquesne (15-12) Men’s basketball team as they face Richmond (14-12) in a 6:00 pm tip-off. Penguins game attendees that show their February 27 hockey ticket at the A.J. Palumbo Center Box Office will receive a complimentary reserved ticket to the basketball game. Doors open at 5:00 pm. Saturday’s basketball game will be televised on ASN (American Sports Network/WPNT locally).
Be sure to visit the Highmark Wall of Champions behind Section 110 Saturday afternoon to view displays celebrating Pittsburgh Black History. Items from the Heinz History Center, the Carnegie Museum of Art, Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum and more will be on exhibit until the end of the second intermission.

As a reminder, new walk-through metal detectors have been installed at CONSOL Energy Center. The walk-through detectors are part of a league-wide initiative by the NHL to enhance security and allow arenas to deliver a smoother, faster screening experience. Previously, fans entering the arena were screened by security personnel with wands. The NHL policy of searching all permitted bags will remain in place. The walk-through metal detectors will be used for Penguins games and all other events at CONSOL Energy Center.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Steve Oleksy from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
Oleksy, 30, suited up for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday night, helping the club earn a crucial 3-2 shootout victory in Portland that kept the WBS Penguins percentage points ahead of the Hershey Bears for first place in the Atlantic Division.
The 6-foot, 190-pound Oleksy has one goal, 10 assists, 11 points, 78 penalty minutes and a plus-13 in 45 games. He traveled with the NHL Penguins to Boston on Wednesday, but did not play before being returned back to WBS.
Pittsburgh hosts the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday at 3 p.m. at CONSOL Energy Center. The game will be televised on ROOT SPORTS and can also be heard on the team’s official radio flagship, 105.9 The X."
