Or sometimes you workout and really push yourself day in and day out but don’t see results. The reasons why these things happen to the best of us could lie in how you are fueling your workouts.
Vega, one of my favorite companies out there, has an awesome line of Sport products for Athletes. They have everything from energizers to hydrators to recovery drinks – all with the goal of fueling your better.
I’ve tried a ton of Vega Sport products, but my absolute favorite is their Performance Protein Powder.
Vega was kind enough to send me a box of their Vanilla flavored protein, and boy did I whip up some delicious protein-filled dishes. I made this awesome strawberry vanilla “ice cream”…

Why do I love Vega Sport Performance Protein so much? First and foremost, it is the best tasting protein I have ever had (and I’ve tried A LOT of protein powders). I enjoy both the taste and the texture. If I’m on the run, I can throw a scoop in a shaker jar with some water and it blends nicely (no gross clumps) and tastes great. Yup, you heard that right. It tastes great even if you use plain water! Saving calories for the win!

I usually make a smoothie to have right after the gym. A smoothie with Vega Sport Performance Protein is my go-to breakfast at least five days a week, so of course I have to share one of my favs with you! Fuel Your Better with this Vega Strawberry Matcha Smoothie:
I add matcha (green tea powder) for a little extra energy boost and antioxidants and egg whites for a super protein-packed smoothie (simply leave out the egg whites for a vegan option). Yum yum yum! Protein, BCAAs, glutamine, and lots of flavor? I can’t think of a more delicious way to fuel my better and power through workout after workout.
How do you fuel your better?
- 1/2 cup milk of choice
- 1/2 cup water
- optional: 3/4 cup egg white (about 4 egg whites)
- 1 scoop Vanilla Vega Sport Performance Protein
- 1 handful frozen strawberries
- 1 small handful ice cubes
- 1 tsp matcha powder
- Place milk, water, egg white (if using), protein powder, strawberries, and ice cubes in a high speed blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Pour half of the mixture into a jar or glass.
- Add matcha powder to the mixture that remains in the blender.
- Blend until thoroughly combined.
- Spoon the green matcha mixture on top of the pink strawberry mixture.
- Enjoy fueling your better!
- To make this smoothie vegan, simply leave out the egg white.
