Alright, alright, alright (that’s the Matthew McConaughey in me), let’s get this fit & fashionable show on the road. This week, I’m chatting spinning classes and gear.

I like spinning, but I tend not to go all too often because it’s stupid expensive here in NYC. The cheapest class is around $30. However, I recently won a free month of Classpass from Lea over at Running with Ollie, so I’ve been taking full advantage by trying out a ton of different spin studios.

I’ll have a whole post about my Classpass experience soon, but today I want to talk spinning swag and how to get it on the cheap. I figure you’re spending all that moolah on the class, you gotsta save somewhere. So low and behold, five spin class essentials that won’t break the bank.

Leggings: Old Navy for, get this, $18!!! They’re compression capris, and I’m pretty much in love. I might have to run over to the store by my office to get these just because they’re so cute!

Socks: Kushyfoot (my fave) 3 pairs for $13.47. These socks are the best for spinning. They are low cut, so they don’t stick out awkwardly, yet they stay on like no other low cut sock I’ve ever tried. Check out my full Kushyfoot review here.

Sports Bra: Target. I have a different C9 by Champion medium impacts sports bra and it’s one of my favorites. Super comfy. $16.99

Tank: Another Old Navy steal. Only $9! They have a bunch of cute sayings and colors, too.

Water bottle: Bobble – Not only is this bottle adorable (never thought I’d call a water bottle adorable), but it has a carbon filter. Only 9 bucks.

BONUS FIND – Headband: Etsy – all 3 for $4.50!

I left out towels (any legit gym should have those fo’ free) and cycling shoes because those are going to cost you a pretty penny. In my opinion, it’s only worth it to buy your own shoes if you are consistently going every week, all year long. Otherwise, it usually only costs $2 or so to rent them from the studio. Some classes even have straps that allow you to spin in regular ol’ sneaks.

Total outfit cost (when you divide 3 packs into singles): $58.98!

BAZINGA! Now you can get a fancy cold pressed juice after class. Or bring the one you made to save even more money. You’re wallet is getting so fat from all the money you’re stashing away that it will need to take its own spin class! (bad um chhh – I’ll be here all night, folks!).
