We made it! FRIDAY! Weekend! WOOT! It’s also time for the Fit & Fashionable Friday Link Up and to unveil my picks from the July Fabletics Collection (some past collections here, here & here). Let’s do this thang!
This month’s collection was called, “Ready. Set. Summer.” and featured tropical prints, bright hues and edgy blacks.
As always, I had a tough time deciding which pieces to get, but I finally settled on the Joliet High Impact Bra in Charcoal/Azalea and the Barbados Tank in Azalea.
This post is sponsored by Fabletics.
First things first: the color.
Adore.
Second thing second: the fit.
The bra fits perfectly. Not too tight and not too lose. Goldilocks would have approved.
I was nervous the loose fit of the top wouldn’t be flattering, but I was wrong – I love it! It has deep, drapey armholes so you can get a little peek at the bra. I think I’ll have fun playing with different bras to layer under this tank.
Third things third: the function.
I don’t typically buy sports bras online because most of the ones that claim to be high impact aren’t, so I put the Joliet bra through the ultimate high impact test: running. I’m happy to say it passed with flying colors. The girls stayed in place. No chaffing occurred. A win!
The tank is a jersey fabric that is very very comfortable. Since it’s not sweat-wicking, I probably wouldn’t use it for running or HIIT workouts, but it’s perfect for lifting. The only thing I noticed is that when I go down to do pushups, the drapey armholes flap out like bat wings. If only I could go into pushup mode and fly away! Ha!
I’m also rocking some Fabletics leggings that are about a year old, my Reebok Nanos (affiliate link) and my Sweat Pink Trucker Hat for good measure.
Each new Fabletics collection is pretty big, so I thought I’d add a new element to my Fabletics shares and give you a look at some of the other pieces from the collection I was debating between.
- The Tropez Bra in Tropical Print – I decided against this because I wanted a high impact bra, but I LOVE the print and the back of this bra.
- The Rialto Bodysuit – I saw this and my head was spinning with outfit ideas, but then I though about how difficult it would be to go to the bathroom while wearing this and opted for something else.
- The Salar Capri Tropical Print Multi – These are just so fun! Renee was actually wearing these at Blogfest and they were just as cute, if not more so, in person. Oh well!
There you have it. Now on to August! Remember your first order is only $25, and you get TWO pieces! It’s an awesome deal. If you sign up, you can skip any month you like no charge. I’m not an affiliate, I’m just telling you the facts cause they’re pretty awesome.
