Face of Australia Budge-Proof Gel Eyeliner Review

By Ireviewuread

With regards to my last post, a review on Australis StayPut! Longwear Foundation, I've also managed to grab myself one other drugstore makeup product before flying back to Singapore from Australia.

That's the Face of Australia, Budge-Proof Gel Eyeliner in the colour Black.

Retailing at PriceLine for AUD$9.95 (SGD$9.35)*. I would say that the price is rather economical for a Gel Liner; Considering the fact that gel liners in Singapore can go up to an average of SGD$20.

*The exchange rate for AUD was lower at that point of time. Due to the recent line of events, the exchange rate should be higher now.

The Face of Australia, Budge-Proof Gel Eyeliner have claimed it's formula to be smooth, pigmented, lasting, smudge-proof and water-proof.

Concealed in it's cap is a built in miniature brush. Suitable for those on the go.

The basics of how to use the brush would be to dip it in the pot and apply sparingly on your lids. Do take note that the brush would be rather pointy once the brush is dipped so it's better to clean it after every use. This helps prevent the gel on the brush from hardening.

With that we shall finally move on to the review. Below shows the original drawing done using the Face of Australia, Budge-Proof Gel Eyeliner. What I like about this liner is, it's pigmented enough to produce a thick and solid line without having to redraw it over and over again.

On top of that, the liner glides on rather smooth and effortlessly on my lids.

With the 2 characteristics ticked off the list, it's time to put the eyeliner through the tests.

As seen from above, the Face of Australia, Budge-Proof Gel Eyeliner is totally smudge proof for the drawing doesn't seem to have budged at all. Kudos to that!

Next the waterproof test. With reference to the image above, it's obvious that the eyeliner does comes off when it's in contact with water. However, most of the eyeliner still remained unmoved despite of the tugging. Thus, it's deemed as rather water resistant.

All in all, I would rate the Face of Australia, Budge-Proof Gel Eyeliner 4 and a half IreviewUread Smiles. This Gel Liner not only lives up to it's expectations of being budge-proof and smudge-proof, it's also rather water resistant. I am loving the fact that the outcome of the liner is quite thick and pigmented. A flaw in which I do not fancy would be it's short built in brush but, we can just use our own brush right?
