We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.

  • EXHAUSTED – The last three weeks were strangely hectic, but that ends today. Thank. Goodness. The trip to Branson was exhausting, with early mornings and extremely late nights every night we were there. We got back on Sunday night around 12:30 AM, but it took me several hours to get ready for work the next day. I did not crawl into bed until 2 AM, only to have Jim’s alarm go off at 5 AM. That was also the first day of month-end close, so I got up. I did leave work early that day, but that set me back for the rest of the week in regards to duties for the closing process. Fourth of July did not help either. I spent the rest of the week in a fog of exhaustion and stress-related panic at trying to get everything done. The weekend was not restful given I had a house to finally set to rights, a kitchen to restock, and meals to plan. Monday followed more catch-up for everything I did not finish last week. Plus, it was the first day of summer dance classes. To make matters worse, Holly had another poms camp in the middle of the freaking day this week, and she could not find a single person willing to pick her up or take her home. So I great today with excitement and a sense of relief that this should be the end of things. At least for another week or two.
