After working in the media industry for so many years, I’ve come to realize one very important fact – that no one is ever punctual for an event.
After making my foray into blogging and having to start all over again as a social wallflower where I barely know anyone, I’ve also come to realize another important fact – that most bloggers are usually punctual for an event.
Thankfully, I’ve always been one of the more punctual journalists, so I didn’t have to make much change to my lifestyle. In fact, I actually like turning up on time, cos it gives me ample space to take photos without having to worry about people’s shadows, or people waiting behind me to take photos. Plus, it takes away the angst that always boils up inside me when I think “zomg my youth is flying away every minute I wait for the latecomers”
Last week I was all aplomb and full of myself as I sauntered my way down (at 3.45pm) to the Ma Cherie / Majolica event which I thought was starting at 4pm. 15 minutes should be sufficient for me to snap my photos and snag a good seat, right?
Turns out the event started at 3pm. FML. I’d missed the entire presentation, but the PR ladies were so gracious in telling me that it’s ok, that all the information was available in the press kit. -sheepish face- Damn you, bad memory of mine.
Anyhoos, I was apparently just in time for the activities, which was seriously quite fun – kinda like a beauty carnival thang. Here’s what went on.
After you drop the card into the top slot… A PRODUCT MAGICALLY COMES OUT (with someone’s hand pushing it) lolol. The Mysterious Magic Box analyses your hair woes based on the tarot card, and dispenses a product suitable for you. I got a Hair Gelee (for soft waves – can’t wait to try it out!)
