It was such a toughie when it came to deciding which of my new Essie polishes to use but after being invited to another interview I knew it had to be the beautiful Ballet Slippers in the hopes that my hands would be looking very polished and as sophisticated as possible! Ballet Slippers is arguably Essie's most famous shade and for good reason too as it is a gorgeous off-white pink shade which is so simple but extremely wearable no matter what time of year it is, and how can you really go wrong with a lovely 'your nails but better' shade? As a lover of opaque finishes this was a risky purchase for me but I'm so glad I bought it in the end as the sheer finish looks so classy and always has me staring down at my nails. The sheer consistency means that the color is definitely buildable and I was very happy with the finish after two coats (as shown above) as it is gives you plenty of coverage for beautifully French manicured nails. The photograph was taken after about 5 days wear which I think is fab as there hardly any signs of wear with no chipping in sight. All in all Ballet Slippers is an absolute beaut and I can't wait to get plenty more wear out of it! What do you think of Ballet Slippers?
