emerginC Scientific Organics ‘at Home Facial Peel + Clarifying Kit’ – Review

By Triedandtestedblogger @triedtestedblog

Hi everyone,

Today I’m very excited to introduce you to a skincare kit that you can use at home to achieve amazing results! I’ve been using the emerginC scientific organics ‘at home facial peel + clarifying kit’ for over a month now and I can only rave about it, it really is that wonderful!

emerginC was a company I was unfamiliar with before using this product so here’s a little bit about the brand:

‘emerginC can be found in over 700 spas and specialty stores throughout the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Indonesia, United Emirates and Europe and has a celebrity following that includes Brad Pitt, Kirsten Dunst, Matt Damon, Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Anniston to name a few.

emerginC was the first company to harness Vitamin C in 1996 launching with the first hero product; Vitamin C Serum and was also one of the first companies to market with CO Q10, Alpha lipoic’s and Peptides.

emerginC were one of the first brands to become paraben-free, petro-chemical free, synthetic frangrance free and made a commitment to source natural ingredients that were active wherever possible.’

The emerginC scientific organics ‘at home facial peel + clarifying kit’ is described as ‘a highly effective 2 step kit…(that) helps remove dead skin cells, renew complexion, brighten, nourish, clarify as well as minimise the appearance of lines and wrinkles.’

I have to admit that the word ‘peel’ can sometimes be terrifying to read on a skincare product but there’s no need to fear this product because it isn’t a chemical peel, it’s actually made with 100% natural ingredients so you know exactly what is going on your skin.

The emerginC scientific organics ‘at home facial peel + clarifying kit’ is a 2 step process and so the kit comes with 2 products – the Peel Pads & the Clarifying Pads. Each glass jar comes with 60 pads. They are suitable to be used everyday as well as on all skin types. Its active ingredients are: Natural Fruit Acids, Lactic Acid, Aloe, Cypress, Tea Tree, Green Tea, Willow Bark and Apple Extracts.

To use the kit, you begin with the pre soaked cotton peel pad by applying it all over your already cleansed, dry face and leave for 2-5 minutes. The pad has a strong citrus-y scent and after wiping it all over the face, you can definitely see just how effective the pad is at removing dead skin cells and the dirt and grime, even after you’ve cleansed it! Tingling is not unusual due to the ingredients and it’s something I experienced when using these pads but as time when on, I found my skin became more used to the product. After leaving the light layer of product on for 2-5 minutes, rinse your face with cold water.

After allowing your skin to dry, you then apply the clarifying pad all over the face and there is no need to rinse off. The clarifying pads have an organic, tea tree scent and it needs a little bit of time to soak into the skin before you apply your regular serum or moisturiser on top.

I found it best to use the kit at night before bed and immediately after use, you really do see an instant change in your skin. My skin looks so smooth and almost glossy with a pink flush – as if the blood under the skin has ‘awoken’ to start doing its job. The next morning, you’re greeted with smooth, supple skin and a glowing, clearer complexion, as if you’ve had a professional skin treatment at a spa! It’s amazing! Even days after, your skin retains that beautiful fresh, luminous complexion and I found that the kit helped improved my bare skin but also the application of makeup as everything seemed to glide on.

It is suitable for everyday use but I found it best to use 2 times a week for my normal to dry skin. It doesn’t dry out my skin nor does it cause any reactions or breakouts. While it isn’t inexpensive, it only equates to $2 per use of the kit and if you use it like I do, 2 times a week, it’ll last you for over half a year! It really is an amazing product so I wholeheartedly recommend you give it a go!

I also wanted to quickly touch on an initiative INSKINCOSMEDICS, the Australian distributor of emerginC has launched. While there is a lot of talk about environmentally friendly practices in the beauty industry, there is sometimes very little action but emerginC has really taken the initiative to make a difference. From using wind power to manufacture 80% of its products to using reusable and biodegradable packaging, they have recently begun the ‘emerginCeeds’ program in Australia.

‘The emerginCeeds program will support the brand’s ecological initiative of giving away a packet of lettuce and rocket seeds with every domestic order to encourage customers to grow their own vegetables.   Alongside initiatives already being rolled out globally including where for EVERY product sold emerginC plants an indigenous tree (to date there have been over 150,000 trees planted)’.

“I want to be a leader. I want to make a difference and I think there are more important things in the universe than just selling skin care. But if I’m going to do it (sell skincare)- I want to create social meaning above and beyond just selling an amazing skincare brand” says emerginC founder, Ian Lirenman.

In the near future, emerginC will also be launching their emerginBees seed bombs to ‘increase the number of bees and other pollinators in the environment.’ The emerginBees seed bombs will again be free with every order and with almost 1/3 of the food we eat being from some sort of bee activity, it not only helps improve the environment but also us.

You can purchase the emerginC scientific organics at home facial peel + clarifying kit for $119.00 from the INSKINCOSMEDICS website, the Australian distributor of emerginC who has launched the ‘emerginCeeds’ program in Australia.
