Texas elementary school janitor had a back issue for years. The only solution for him was to undergo a surgery in order to avoid ending up in a wheelchair. But like many Americans, he couldn’t afford to pay the medical bills.
Students, teachers and parents have made this school janitor a very happy man after they decided to come together to help him out during a trying time.
He has been with the school since the day it opened and he is known as a “hard worker” with a positive influence on the students. He always has a smile on his face and he is always happy to see students and staff.
The janitor found out he would need extensive back surgery in order to avoid spending the rest of his life in a wheelchair, which would prevent him from working altogether.
The local community and the school district decided to create a GoFundMe page to help Mr. Lee pay for the surgery. In just 12 days, the community raised $25,000, $6,000 more than they originally set out to earn.
Mr. Lee was incredibly grateful and touched by the love and support he received from the community.
