Eight Things

By Makemeupmandy @mandywebb28

1. After a short getaway over the weekend, we are all still trying to recuperate. It was a very, very short 1 day, 1 night getaway but with so much sun, sand, wind, sea, kids, non-stop chattering… we’re taking it easy on ourselves this week. (Maybe we are just getting old)

2. Thermomix, thermomix, thermomix. It’s funny how obsessed I am over it even though I only saw it IRL about 2 months ago at a friend’s house. I know lots of women’s husbands joke about it. “What, how amazing can it be? Does it also feed you?” For something so pricey, I don’t blame them. My husband was at a “yadda yadda I didn’t hear a thing you said even though I’m nodding” stage until we went over to his female work mate’s home the other day and she had one. To hear it from his own friend about how wonderful it is… I think I’m just getting that bit closer to snapping one up for Christmas. (HUGE HINT, in case Husband needs some help with Christmas suggestions)

3. “Every day may not be good. But there is something good in everyday.” – Alice Morse Earle

4. Orientation day at pre school went amazingly well, thank God. I had to go alone with bub without husband and I honestly was a wreck before that (because I expected embarrassing tantrums and melt downs when the time came to leave – my kids love school that much). I was mumbling prayers in the car. I was that nervous.

5. Another week of going “Do we have one more kid or not?” “Yes, we feel incomplete without another.” “No, we’re shitty parents.” “But yes, we love kids.” “But no, there are so many other things to consider.”

6. “If you want to know what a man’s like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.” – J.K. Rowling

7. When Kasey says she wants to play “3, 4″, she means she wants to lay down books through the entire length of the room floor and run on them like lilypads in a pond. It also means I end up having to pack up.

8. If only life was this simple:
