Easy Christmas Makeup and Nails Using New Products

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
I can't believe Christmas is already here! I'm honestly not in the Christmas spirit this year, but I am trying to be a trooper. So, in an attempt to be festive, I came up with this look using mostly newly released products for spring 2017.  I kept it on the simple side and left the sparkle to a minimum.  I also want to apologize for the mess that is my hair. I have been pretty busy this week, so the best I have been able to do is a quick wash, air dry, and toss it in a bun or top knot. There is also a piece of fuzz in my air from rearranging the tree skirt. I actually take pride in being a beauty blogger that is not put together 100% of the time and I am not afraid to broadcast it.

For starters, I primed my eyes using Essence's I Love Colour Intensifying Eyeshadow Primer.
For all of the eyeshadows, I used the Kylie Cosmetics Holiday Edition Palette. I set the primer using Sugar Cookie and I used Gingerbread on the eyelid. I didn't want the crease to be really dark, so I used Chestnut to help blend things out. For an extra pop of green, I used Evergreen along the lower lash line.

I wanted a forest green wing, so I reached for the new L'Oreal Infallible Paints Liner in Wild Green that I bought from Walmart. These are also available at Ulta now.
I also wanted my eyes to appear more open. To do this I used the new NYX Faux White Eye Brightener in Honeydew, which is a pastel green. I like these because they give the appearance of wider, brighter eyes without being as stark as a white liner.

I don't wear false lashes very often, but I was in the mood today. I didn't want to be too dramatic, so  reached for the Kiss Ever EZ Trio Lashes. Before applying these, I applied a coat of Wet n Wild's Mega Protein Mascara.
To help prime and color correct my skin (I have a lot of redness around my nose), I applied the new Physicians Formula cushion corrector in yellow/green. For foundation, I used L'Oreal's new Total Coverage Foundation as well as their new Total Coverage Concealer Palette. To set everything, I used Kat Von D's Lock It Setting Powder applied with a damp beauty sponge.  The highlighter I used was NYX's new Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder in Twilight Tint. For a bright red lip, I used Wet n Wild's Catsuit Liquid Lipstick in Missy and Fierce.

Of course my nails need to be festive, too. I used two shades from Zoya's Urban Grunge Collection: Merida and Alicia. I'll have a post on these two soon because they are incredible.

I hope you are having an amazing day! Instead of the usual business of Christmas, I am having a relaxing day and I will probably end up going back to sleep. I'll return to a more "normal" posting schedule in the coming days. I have a lot of new stuff to share with you!
See you soon!
