I have done a Drugstore Beauty Dupes post before but I found a few newer items I wanted to add to my list...
Ok so the first two similar products are Stila's Colour Balm Lipstick in "Sheri" and Avon's Irresistably Sexy in "Naturally Naked". the Stila one has been a favorite of mine for a while now. The Colour Balm Lipsticks all come in sleek silver packaging with the logo on the front, and they all smell of mint which is really refreshing. The color is a Plum color which I think is a really nice alternative to a nude or red lip, it's somewhere a little bit in between. The Avon one smells a little plasticky and is in a chubby pencil form which is off putting but the color and texture are almost identical to the Stila one. Cost wise you save £9 by choosing Avon. Stila charge £16 and Avon charge just £7. Bargain!
Next up is concealer. I am a huge fan of Nars, in fact I would go as far as to say they are my favorite brand, however even a Millionaire would admit that their products can be a little pricey. I am not a Millionaire. Just Saying. Anyhoo! The Radiant Creamy Concealer by Nars is my absolutely faaaavourite concealer. It's creamy, it's smooth, it doesn't crease and most importantly the coverage is good enough to hide my dark bags which in itself deserves an award. However, about 2 years ago I discovered Collection have an amazing concealer which has been raved about by the blogging & vlogging community for sooo long and it is the Lasting Perfection Concealer. The two are virtually identical in terms of coverage, finish and texture. I prefer the Nars one because it has a lighter shade available for me (Light 1 Chantilly in case anyone is wondering) and the lightest Collection shade is slightly darker. Nars charge £22 for their version in comparison to a cheap as chips (mmm chips) £4.19 for the Collection one.
Modelled by her Majesty (LOLZ actually just a page in a magazine I thought looked nice) is the Eye Of Horus Liquid Define Eyeliner pen and the Collection Extreme 24 hour felt tip liner. The Eye Of Horus liner is my favorite felt tip liner because I just love how it glides on and has the blackest of black pigment. This is also non smudge and waterproof and by far has been the best liner pen I have ever used. Priced at around £13, I was keen to find a cheaper alternative and I literally tried about 10 different liner pens until I found the best one in my opinion and as it just so happens is a complete dupe for the Eye of Horus one. Enter Collection's Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner. The consistency, color and glide-ability is fantastic and priced at £2.99 you literally cannot go wrong with it.
Up next is a skincare one and it is a Micellar Water dupe for the La Roche Posay Physiological Micellar Solution. I love the Micellar Solutions because I really hate using oil based cleansers so I use this to get off the bulk of my makeup, then wash my face using a regular cream face wash to get every last scrap off. Despite my love for Micellar waters, some of them can be really pricey, for example this one by La Roche Posay costs £9.00 in comparison to the Garnier Micellar Solution which costs £4.50 and it is a bigger bottle than the other brand.
I am a big fan of the Clinique Lash Power Feathering Mascara and for me, I think this is probably the best mascara I've always used. With that said, at £18 it is a little pricey and so I was on the look out for a good drugstore dupe. I was actually looking through my collection of Mascara's and trying different ones out when I stumbled across the Maybelline Mega Plush Volum' Express Mascara The wands are similar, but the Maybelline one is slightly differently shaped. The formula however is extremely similar. Both are excellent at feathering the lashes and staying clump free.
The penultimate items are Daniel Sandlers Luxury Matte Lipstick in 'GiGi' and the Revlon Lip Butter in shade 'Lollpop'. The Daniel Sandler product is supposedly matte but actually I found it to be quite moisturizing and dewy, which is similar to the lip butter by Revlon. The lip butters are obviously more balm like than the daniel sandler lip product, but after trying both out, I can assure you they are both extremely similar both in terms of color and in texture and finish.
Last but by no means least is the Naked Palette by Urban Decay and The Undressed Palette by MUA. I used to be a huge MUA fan and in fact a quick search through my blog will show that I literally worshipped the brand. That was until I realised they were so 'similar' to other brands that I felt they were just copying them (in my opinion!) but regardless their products are very well priced and in many cases are good quality, in particular their eyeshadow palettes. The Undressed Palette by MUA is literally identical to the Naked palette by Urban Decay and even copies the sequence of the colours and in terms of quality the MUA one is good but not Urban Decay good. The packaging of the Urban Decay Naked palette is so classy and chic and as you can see both palettes have been well used. The MUA palette cost £4 in comparison to the Naked Palette by Urban Decay which costs £37!
There you have it! all of my recently found drugstore beauty dupes! do you have any good dupes i can try out? I am always looking for cheaper alternatives to expensive products! Please leave any ideas below in the comments and of course leave me links to your Drugstore Beauty Dupes posts if you have any :)
All My Love...
