DIY HairSpray: Only 2 Things Needed

By Arzoo Sharma @prettynhealthy

Hi Girls,

Today I’m going to share with you all a quick easy diy which was requested by some of you girls long back but I totally forgot about this diy, just yesterday when I saw my hairspray lying in my stash, it reminded me that I had to do a diy hairspray which has been delayed so much, sorry girls for the delay but at last I’m here with this easy diy hairspray for you all Things You’ll Need:

  1. An empty spray bottle.
  2. A lemon or an orange.
  3. A steel bowl, a sieve and a knife to cut the lemon/orange.

Method of Preparation:

1. You have to start by cutting the lemon or orange into half. I prefer lemon for my hair spray as it’s easily and widely available all year round and oranges have some season so they are not easily available, you can choose whatever you want but orange gives a slight better holding power so it depends on you what you prefer.

2. Fill the bowl with 2 glass of water, bring the water to boil and let it boil until it turns half.

3. Add the cut lemon to the water while it is boiling.4. When the water comes to a half level, let it cool down for 10-15 minutes. After boiling, the mixture will look somewhat like this.

Squeeze out the lemon into the water.5. Strain the mixture with a sieve and pour it into an empty spray bottle.

Now your hair spray is ready to be used. Store it in the refrigerator. Shake well before using and make new batch every two weeks as it can be stored for two weeks maximum.

This is me pretending to use the hairspray It can be used the same way like your regular hairspray, this lemon spray adds shine to hair besides setting down the hair. The holding power may not be as much as the market bought hairspray but it does the job pretty well adding shine to hair and this hair spray is all natural without any chemicals so you know that you are not doing any damage to your hair by adding tons of harmful chemicals. This hairspray will tame frizziness, add shine to hair, tame flyaway hairs and will make your hair soft. So go ahead and make yourself this easy hairspray if you use hairspray on a regular basis and don’t forget to leave your comments on how did you find this diy hairspray.
