I love wearing jewelry, especially in unexpected places. What I mean by that is I love wearing rings above my knuckles, cuffs on my ears, hand-pieces instead of bracelets, and now anklets are being added to the list. Worn with a cute pair of flip flops, or a fun pair of heels- an anklet will be the 90′s trend that people will actually be pleased to see back in style!  Since they haven’t yet hit the stores (but I promise you they will), I decided to whip one up my self. It literally took me 5 minutes to complete and cost me less than $5.

Supplies: Silver chain, 1 silver lobster clasps, 3 silver jump rings, a fun charm of your choice (here are a bunch), measuring tape (find a cute clown one like mine here), flush cutters, & flat nose pliers. Majority of these supplies will also be available at your local craft store!

Step 1: Using your measuring tape, measure your ankle at the widest part towards your foot. Just imagine the measuring tape is your anklet & decide how loose you want it to be.

Step 2: Cut your chain using your flush cutters the length of your ankle (from the previous step).

Step 3: Using your flat nose pliers attach a jump ring to one end & your lobster clasp & jump ring to the other.

Step 4:  Attach your charm to your anklet using your flat nose pliers. I like to make sure my jump ring is over the chain (rather than hooked on to it) so that my charm can move freely.

Isn’t that just adorable? I am obssesssseeeed!
