Tassel earrings have been on and off the runways for years now, and as I was exploring Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur recently I came upon pre-made beautiful tassels to my delight! If you are like me (aka. lazy) then making your own tassels requires some amount of effort. So when I chanced upon some…tassel earrings were one of those DIYs that I thought of making.
So here’s my simple tutorial on making boho-chic tassel earrings!
Let’s get started!
What you need:
- Pliers
- Small brightly coloured beads (here I used neon pink, blue & gold)
- Tassels (or you can make your own)
- Jumprings
- 2 earring hooks
- Eye pins (6 in total)
Step #1:
Take one eye pin and stack the beads. Here I went with pink-gold-blue.
Use a round-nose plier and close the end by making a loop.
Step #2:
Do Step #1 two more times to make a triangle.
Step #3:
Connect the ends – make sure you do not make your loop too small.
Step #4:
Attach a jumpring through the top bun of the tassel.
Attach this to both ends of the triangle.
Step #5:
Then at the peak of the triangle, take a jumpring and attach it to an earring hook.
