DiorSkin Nude BB Creme

By Hhepton

If you saw my post where I absolutely raved about the DiorSkin Nude Concealer (granted, it was a while back) you may not be surprised when you read this review! Retailing at £30 in shops and online, it’s a product that I’d usually never have tried as to me that seems a lot for a BB creme, however I spotted this on a blog sale for £20 so just had to snap it up. It was in perfect condition when it arrived and hadn’t been used, so I was a very happy bunny.

Before my recent splurges (have a peek here if you fancy), this was probably one of the most high end products I bought. I actually got this before buying the concealer and that was what started my love, so in some ways… maybe I shouldn’t have bought it! Personally I think it looks like you get more, but it’s actually only a 30ml tube which is the same as most face products. I love the tube style packaging too, it makes it perfect for traveling as you don’t have to worry about the possibility of it breaking! And it has a pump, what more could you want? More brands definitely need to catch on to this.

I have the shade 001 in the DiorSkin Nude BB Creme which is the palest shade, and I think I may go as far as saying it’s the most perfect match I’ve ever come across for my rather pale skin tone. I wouldn’t say it’s either pink or yellow toned, just neutral but very pale! As you’d expect from a BB Creme the coverage isn’t high, but it does such a good job of masking redness on my cheeks, slightly covering my dark circles, and definitely helps to hide any blemishes. All whilst leaving a lovely natural glow to my skin! It’s so natural looking on the skin that you could probably get away with saying you’re not wearing any base product when you’re wearing this. It’s so easy to apply as well, it takes so little time to blend in and you don’t even need a brush, so if you’re a slightly lazy student like me who would rather spend more time in bed on a morning than getting ready…. it’s perfect!

Now onto the most important part, well it is for me anyway, how does it fair on dry skin? Firstly, it doesn’t stick or cling to dry, flaky patches. This is an absolute must in a product for me as it’s a problem I suffer with rather badly, although since using the Trilogy Rosehip Oil it’s really improving! It feels very lightweight on the skin, like you’re not wearing anything at all, but I wouldn’t say it has any nourishing properties to it. Just nice, but it’s not going to feel like it’s doing your skin any goodness like the Dr Jart Regenerating BB Cream does. Oh, it also has rather good lasting power! I find I don’t really need to top this up during the day, although I’m afraid I can’t say how it would fair on oily skin, as we all now I’m well away from having that experience.

A bit of a short but sweet review, but what can I say? The DiorSkin Nude BB Creme is a really good product that has snook it’s way into my regular makeup routine, and I find myself reaching for it a lot more often than I thought I would before I purchased it. I’d definitely recommend it if you were thinking about buying it, even for the rather expensive price tag, eeek!

What’s the most high end product you’ve ever tried? I seem to be so obsessed with them at the minute, I just want to fill my makeup collection with super pretty expensive items haha!
