Dior Nude BB Creme

By Bbeautylove @bbeautylove

As an avid lover of BB creams, I have been itching to try a more high end version to see how they compare and have been using this new release from Dior for the past few weeks.

Part of the Dior Nude range (which incidentally does an amazing foundation too) the new Nude BB Creme promises to be a ‘new generation complexion enhancer’ that not only covers up imperfections but treats and nourishes the skin.

First off, the packaging looks beautiful as you would expect from Dior and the product is available in 3 shades; Fair, Light, Medium. For a shade range it’s not great , but the product does adapt slightly to your skin tone. I have been using Light which isn’t very pale but blends in wonderfully and does warm up in colour once applied to my skin.

The texture is quite thick, yet the product is not heavy or hard to blend into the skin. It feels like a really moisturising face cream, so when you apply this your skin feels like it is getting a treat. You don’t need much, as a little goes a long way and it sinks in quickly whether you use a brush or fingers to apply it. Unlike other BB creams which can be quite watery and sit on top of the skin, this becomes part of your face and looks like you aren’t wearing any obvious base. The coverage is light. It will cover up slight redness, light blemishes and pigmentation but if you have spots or heavy discoloration, you will either need to use lots of concealer or something else as this will not do anything for you. The finish is fairly glowy, but nothing too shiny, so I would say more velvet like. It also contains SPF10 which isn’t very high but is perfect for this time of year as the sun has all but disappeared!

I like to use this on good skin days or days when you want a little complexion pick me up. It is lovely to wear, lasts all day and didn’t aggravate my oily and slightly sensitive skin so I am really impressed. Would I buy this myself? No, because there are cheaper alternatives like my Rimmel one (see post) which is just as good for under £10 but if you want to splash out, treat yourself or have a higher budget when it comes to cosmetics I would highly recommend this. It is an impressive product from an impressive brand that is amazing to use but I will be saving my pennies for the Nude Skin foundation, as this gives me the higher coverage I require.

Available Exclusively from Selfridges at the moment. Priced £30.00.
