The range consists of boxy oxford bags, shoulder monogram totes for the loyal, and tasseled structure tote handbags which is sleek enough to transition from work to play with its simple but classy lines. My favorite piece is the dainty pink trapeze tote at the top left which exudes feminine flair. And for gentlemen on the go, the collection encapsulated utility and classic style in the form of leather pouches and flap-over satchels.
This cohesive showcase was brought together by the brands new artistic director, Mrs. Giovanna Villani. Having more than 30 years of experience and working with big industry names such as Calvin Klein and Missoni, her sharp direction coupled with the brand's long standing craftsmanship made this collection such a cohesive success.
Receiving accolades at the end of the show
Of course, star-sighting of the day: Benjamin, the lead vocalist from local band The Sam Willows and Mediacorp actor Daren Tan, dressed to the nines and flanked with their equally dapper looking entourage. Seen here being interviewed by Rana Webter, who is a fashion insider and host of DFW 2014.Now to take a moment and thank my style sponsors for making me look like a million bucks for Day 2: Charles from Headlines Hairdressing who saved the immense tragedy that was my bad hair day and transformed it into a beautiful braided side-sweep curl. As they were the hair partners for DFW2014 that day, he had so kindly made time for me backstage to do the look. Thank you so much Charles!
And this gorgeous getup was courtesy of Noel Caleb Concept Store: here I am wearing RINRATA, a Thai label which carries very sleek and edgy evening wear pieces. I paired a white cropped top with a fringed skirt but added an over-sized ballet pink vest top to pull the look together.
And I finally have the chance to pull out my quilted Guy Laroche bag which was a Christmas gift from my Mom, and this beyond sexy gladiator platform heels sponsored by GUESS Singapore, which I had been saving to wear for a special occasion.
Of course, what more special than Digital Fashion Week right?
Shoe-lust aside, check back for my next coverage where our design schools, NAFA, Laselle and Raffles Design battle it out on stage and showcase their capsule collections. I guarantee you its an amazing display of talent that's not to be missed!
