The FedEx Cup playoffs continue this week with the Deutsche Bank Championship kicking off tomorrow from TCP Boston. The field for this event includes the top 100 on the FedEx points list, which means, the best of the best. With $8,000,000 up for grabs, the pressure will be on.
I've been doing my homework and have selected my picks for this weeks fantasy golf. I think these guys will stay cool under the pressure and will be a notch above the rest. Here's my favorites...
Rory McIlory... McIlroy started well at The Barclays, but after the second day, he looked fatigued. Look for him to bounce back in Massachusetts this weekend and have at least two rounds under 70 strokes.
Tiger Woods... Woods seems to be regressing each week and may be having trouble with the rigorous training for each event. Woods may be one of the safest picks on the tour, but he is not as safe as he was a couple weeks ago.
Graeme McDowell... Ranks 39th on the PGA TOUR in greens in regulation and eighth in birdie average. Putting let him down at Bethpage last week. He hit 27 GIR but took 64 swipes with his flat stick and swallowed five bogeys and three doubles.
Vijay Singh... The only two-time winner and all-time earnings leader of this tournament also co-shares the course record (61) and tournament record (22-under 262). Sat one stroke off the lead at the midpoint of last week's Barclays.
The full breakdown of my fantasy picks looks like this...
