My experience with Dermavive Hydra Cleanser

How’s the packaging?

So the packaging is pretty basic. It comes in a white and green colored medium sized but a bit broad tube packaging with a green colored flip open cap.

How’s the consistency, texture and color of Dermavive Hydra cleanser

This is a gel cleanser with a runny consistency. It has a hazy white color.

How’s the Dermavive Hydra cleanser?

Here comes the main part of the review

As mentioned it contains colloidal oatmeal (finely powdered oatmeal in any liquid). And oatmeal has been used for many medical conditions from ancient times. It helps in soothing and hydrating the skin. Besides this, it also contains lactic acid which is an AHA. Lactic acid reduces acne and prevents breakouts. So these two ingredients impressed me. I have an oily T-Zone and this Dermavive hydra cleanser cleansed, removed excess oil from my face without making my skin dry or stretchy. I have been skipping my moisturizer and directly using sunscreen as this cleanser is hydrating enough for me. It doesn’t lather because of it’s soap-free and pH balanced formula but serves its purpose well.

This cleanser makes my skin super soft just like any gel-based cleanser and at the same time hydrate my skin too. I liked how gentle it is on my skin and how it made my skin feel. The only thing which I did not like was its smell. It has a very strong medicinal smell which I wasn’t even able to withstand when I used it for the first time.  But then the smell goes away after washing and as I continued using it, the smell didn’t bother much.

This cleanser didn’t cause any breakouts and in fact, I feel it helped my skin in calming down and preventing from breakouts (a big yayy). The oatmeal is so finely milled that you would barely be able to notice it. So I try to shake it very well so that I can see them. Sometimes I feel it has those soft very small powdered oatmeal and most of the times I don’t even feel it

Sensitive skin people who can’t use physical exfoliators would love this because the powdered oatmeal and Lactic acid does the job to an extent. I am loving this Dermavive Hydra Cleanser as it has made my skin really soft, supple, hydrated, washes off the extra sebum without stripping away my natural oils.
