As promised, these are the truffle/bliss balls that I made, inspired from the recipe card from the last post here. Personally not a huge fan of cooking, just haven't reached the age where cooking is "enjoyable", but this ones super easy to make and only requires a few ingredients :)
- Dates! (medjool dates)
- Nut or nuts of your choice
- Coconut flakes/cocoa powder/outer coating of your choice
- Optional ingredients: vanilla essence, almond spread
- Food processor!
Method:
- Remove the pit from 10 dates, and slice dates in half. It's preferable to get medjool dates as these ones have more "meat" and have a creamier texture, making it blend together better (not an eyeshadow review btw)
- Add dates into food processor, with about a cup of cashews, 2tbs cocoa powder, and a dash of vanilla essence
- Keep blending everything together until gradually the mixture clumps together like a ball of dough.
- Add more nuts/cocoa powder if you feel as though the mixture is still really sticky or add more dates if the mixture isn't holding together.
- Start rolling out the mixture into balls
- Roll it in desiccated coconut flakes (I preblended my coconut flakes because they were a bit too chunky for my liking)
- Let it sit in fridge for a few hours for it to harden.
Enjoy :)
