Cover Girl Spring 2017 and An Easy NYE Look

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
Cover Girl has expanded their Outlast collection in addition to releasing some other new products. I received three of the products through Influenster, so I figured I would buy a couple more products and really try out the line.  I also created a fun, yet very wearable look with all of the products.
Before I go on, I want to go ahead and say that four of the products were sent to be my Influenster for free for testing purposes and all opinions are my own. I'll be sure to note which products these are as I go.
The first product I want to mention is one we have seen literally everywhere since it launched. And that is their new So Lashy Mascara. Influenster did send this to me. It takes a lot for a mascara to wow me and this falls way short of my expectations. It doesn't add a lot of anything...volume, length, definition. It can also get a little clumpy. I'll continue to use it, but I don't like it all. It isn't bad per say, but it isn't special. There are better mascaras out there.

Up next is the TruNaked Jewels Eyeshadow Palette that I bought at CVS. I have only used this once, but it is a lot better than I expected. The colors are beautiful and they are staying on very well. The color payoff is decent, but I did have to work a little bit to get the gold to show up on my eyes. The lightest shade is a stunning inner corner highlight. It looks white, but in fact it has a pink shift to it. I'll keep trying this out and get a full review of it posted.

I love brow mascaras for their ease of use and they are great at multitasking. Cover Girl has a new one with a bit of a twist. The want is the shape of a mascara wand and it is curved. So far it doesn't seem to be any better or worse than any of the other ones I have tried, My only complaint is that Soft Brown is a little too dark.

Now on to the Outlast products. While it isn't new, I decided to pick up the 2-in-1 Primer, Foundation, and Concealer. It applies and blends well, I like the coverage, and it hasn't moved. It did get really oily after five hours, but I consider a foundation a winner when it doesn't move on my oily skin.

Influenster sent me the next three products to try out. They have a new Outlast Soft Touch Concealer, which I like so far. It blends easily and it doesn't look cakey at all. The coverage isn't full, but it does a good enough job of concealing my dark circles. The setting powder isn't my favorite. It doesn't keep my skin matte for long and it only comes in three shades. They final Cover Girl Product they sent me was the Outlast Color & Gloss in Sultry Spice. The color is gorgeous! It includes a liquid lip color and a matching gloss. The liquid lip color does stay on pretty well and the gloss adds some shine whenever you want it. I ended up buying another shade called Nude Intensity, which is a pretty color but it doesn't stay on as well. I'll keep trying these out and do a full review later on.

Sultry Spice (sent to me for free by Influenster) and Nude Intensity, which I bought at Walmart.

Below is my New Years Eve look I created using all of the products I mentioned above. I wanted the look to be a little colorful, but easy to do and not over the top.

So far, Cover Gir's spring launches seem to be pretty solid. I still need to try everything out more, but so far I like the products.
I'll keep you guys updated on everything.
See you soon!
