Coping with Stress

By Vivianism @vivianism

Life these days are really hectic. With all the stresses added in, it’s no wonder I don’t smile as much. But I’m trying my best to learn and grow from these experiences and I hope that when I look back all these, I would laugh it off and say those were the times. : )

To cope with all the stresses, I decided to keep a book of gratitude. This book contains all the happy great things that have happened to me. I may not have the chance to write in it everyday, but when I do I make sure I pen them down in this book. Only when you are grateful about certain things that have happened in your life, will you start to attract more good things around. It’s been 3 months since I started this book, and I realised there were many times I mentioned about having great friends in the book. Indeed, my friends are my pillar of support especially those who gave encouragement, advises and lend a listening ear during my difficult times. I really really appreciate these friends of mine, knowing that at the end of the day, no matter what happened, I would definitely have someone to turn to. The more I feel grateful to my friends, the more I feel that my friends really do care about me. They would start asking me whenever they sense something wrong with me. So start counting the little blessings in your life.

Secondly, however hard it is, I try to take time to relax and get away from all the work. BUT, this can only be achieved when I try to work a little harder during weekdays and be ahead of my tasks at all times. Every mid-week, I pamper myself with body scrub, face mask and hair mask to motivate myself to go on. Every weekend, I either go out with my boyfriend, or watch my favorite shows and catch up on my sleep. Every Sunday is also my self-pampering day to prepare myself for another week of work.

I try not to dwell on the past and move on. Sometimes it is difficult as certain things can affect you and it doesn’t go away easily. But I always tell myself that nothing can be that serious as long as you know you’ve done your best. 有些事情哭过就好了。

The next thing is about taking supplements. I really really have to make sure I take my supplements regularly or the money will just go down the drain. Recently, I started taking Vita Green Ling Zhi. Ling Zhi is a kind of Chinese herbs that is renowned for its superb healing power.

It is a type of fungus that grows on trees, there are 100 types of Lingzhi, but only six are prized for their therapeutic powers. These six, identified by their colour, are sorted into five different types according to their healing paths’: violet and red are for joints, skin and the heart; white is for lungs; green for liver; yellow for spleen and intestines; and black for brain and kidney. All five colours are used to make Vita Green Lingzhi, meaning it is the most complete form of Lingzhi product available to date. It is suitable for all ages, both male and female, and can be consumed over an extensive period of time.

Lingzhi has long been prized for its ability to strengthen the heart, boost energy, improve memory, refine the complexion, promote good circulation, restore health, aid sleep and lead to longevity.

If you are prone to fatigue, I would suggest you to take Ling Zhi as it can really help.

Occasionally, my mom would make us Ling Zhi’s drink. But the capsules made eating Ling Zhi more convenient and less torturing. Some people do not like the bitter taste of the drink (although I’m okay with it). Hence, the capsules are better in that sense.  I eat two capsules a day.
