This liquid lipstick from Cloud Cosmetics is something that I've been wanting to try for a while now because I'm really curious about their formula. In fact, when they were still called Eden's Paradise, their lipstick was highly recommended by Beauty MNL (which is like the Net-A-Porter of the Philippines but they sell beauty products instead of clothes). And I guess I'm not the only one curious because there are some people sliding into my DMs and even comment section asking about this product. So here it is, the Cloud Cosmetics HMLR review!
WHAT IS IT?
The HMLR stands for "Honestly Matte Liquid Rouge" which is true to its name. It is a long-wearing, ultra-pigmented, and transfer-proof liquid lipstick formulated with lipcool technology which uses peppermint oil to moisturize and soothe lips with every application. PERFORMANCE
APPLICATION: Apply lipstick directly on lips. I suggest starting on your cupids bow and outward.
SCENT: It smells like peppermint.
PACKAGING: It is packaged in a typical liquid lipstick tube with a doe foot applicator. While the box comes in a cute pink and white color with really cute icons.
RESULT: Cloud Cosmetic HMLR is indeed highly pigmented and soothes my lips. It literally feels cool on my lips so I'm definitely using this for all my summer trips. It's also smudge-proof, waterproof, and long-lasting. Although I'm not sure about the claim that it's "most comfortable lipstick" because I still find NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream the most comfortable one I've ever used.
VERDICT
PROS: It's cruelty-free, highly pigmented, smudge-proof, waterproof, long-lasting, cooling that soothes the lips and lastly, it does not feel that dry on the lips.
CONS: Not exactly the most comfortable lipstick as claimed since it feels a bit heavy for me.
