I was the first up this morningI put on my fleecy socks And pottered down to the kitchenI let the dogs outAnd made a cup of hot sweet teaI cradled my cup as I sat by the windowAnd enjoyed a few quiet minutes before the madness began
After my cuppaI went and woke my sister and motherThey got up and we all wished each other a happy ChristmasI gave mom her presentsThree books she wantedAnd a set of Avoca soapsWhich smelled delicious
My dad then got upAnd we brought the dogs for a walkDown to the lakeAnd then over to the beach to watch the Christmas swim
