Hello! Who here doesn’t like to go to a spa? Ok, I see no hands raised so I assume that pretty much everyone likes to get some pampering done

If you’re thinking of where to send your dearest friends or family for massages or facials, here are some ideas on spas for every budget (and tips to save $ at that too!)

#1: I’m On A Budget!

If you still want to give them a nice spa treatment yet have to stick to a strict budget, the top tip on my cheat sheet is to buy a deal voucher from either Groupon.sg, Deal.com.sg, or Streetdeal.sg .

In the past, there were lots of reports of hard selling techniques at the spa, but in the recent times that I’ve utilised my deal vouchers, I haven’t experienced pressure selling. Yes, the sales person does offer you packages, but stop once you’ve firmly declined them.

How to choose which deal you should buy? Look at who’s the seller. Narrow in on reputable spas (search for reviews on google). Check if they state which products are used for facials.

For example, you can buy a $45 hour-long facial treatment at Prive Aesthetics in Palais Renaissance with red and blue light treatment.
Or, for $48, a 3 hour-long massage + facial + slimming + ear candling for your man friend at Bio Aesthetic in Plaza Singapura.

#2: Stretch you budget

Here’s my favorite spa that I always go to. My Happy Feet at Holland Village now also has another branch at Purvis Street which offers Decleor Facials (read my review here). I buy packages of $500 each which gives me credit to spend at the spa, plus usually another $50-100 more credit, AND a spa treat of an additional facial or massage.

I love them because of their locations, they’re both at shophouses, means no pushing my way through crowds at shopping centres. And the masseuses are fantastic. And they never hard sell. And my package allows me to bring friends to treat them to spas, so I can give them this present of their favorite treatment anytime they want.

A full body massage here starts from S$68 for an hour, while foot massages start from $28 for 30 minutes.

What’s better than being able to enjoy a massage with a friend too, right?

#3: There’s No Budget!

Ok! So you want to go all out and splurge on your favorite person!! Well, take them to ESPA! Situated at the Resorts World Sentosa, it’s speciality is the Ultimate Hammam Ritual. At S$400 for a 2 hour treatment, this is an authentic turkish bath, scrub and massage experience which is the first of it’s kind in Singapore. They also offer a wide array of massages, scrubs, manicures. Experiencing ESPA takes at least half a day, as guests can experience an outdoor onsen, water treatment pools, steam rooms and saunas, relaxation rooms and a cafe.

Here’s a trick to experience ESPA for less. Purchase the RWS Invites card as a gift for your loved one, and they can choose from one of six RWS experiences, one of which is a 1 hour massage at Espa. While a one hour massage at ESPA costs S$200, the RWS Invites card costs S$150, which means getting a 25% discount off! Awesome, no?
