Have a running course you love? Turn it into your own personal race track with the Running On The Wall virtual races. Learn all about them with this Challenge Yourself Virtual 10K Race Recap.

Last weekend, I officially conquered my second Running On The Wall virtual race: The Challenge Yourself 10K. I had 6 miles on my training schedule, so the 10k distance worked out perfectly.

I love the swag this race came with. I got a cute new tank, a big fridge magnet and had the option of choosing a hat or arm sleeves. I decided to go with the arm sleeves. I figured they’d be a great layering option for the changing season. I didn’t even realize they had writing on them until I put them on! So cute! You may not be able to see it in this pic, but they say, “Go the extra mile.” They also have thumbholes. #winning.

I headed out on Saturday morning and decided that since the theme of this 10K was “Challenge Yourself” that I would challenge myself to run every mile (after my warm up mile, of course) under 9 minutes. I also decided to check out a new podcast called “How Was Your Week with Julie Klausner.”

I did my warm up mile and wasn’t getting into the podcast, so I switched over to music and kicked it into gear to hit my sub 9-minute pace. I loved all the beautiful fall foliage in the park!

So pretty! The views and the music must have done the trick, because I kept every mile between 8:20-8:45. Woot! Medal well deserved!

Love the swag from this @Gift4Runners #virtualrace! Makes me want to do one! #runningonthewall
