Technology in Wildlife With the growth in technology and advanced invention like Global positioning system and geographic information system the level of dimension has reach another level. At present engineering graduates and IT students are getting lot of scope in this field.
According to Ajith Kumar programme director, wildlife sciences, National Centre for Biological Sciences, Bangalore, India is lacking in terms of implementing wildlife research, recently scientist have employed GIS,GPS and remote sensing tools in wildlife center for some time and such initiative have generated employment opportunities for IT students and engineers.
There job as per the source is to invent technological instrument to support scientific research. Typical examples of their work include monitoring animals by using passive movement detectors, using automated camera to instigate with the population of wildlife. Beside that while working they would require operating radio transmitters, molecular technologies and many more.
Using Biotechnology Biotechnology is useful in terms of seeing the cloning of ship, dolly and in regards to understand the animal behavior and migration patterns use of biotechnology has been extensive. The use of same technology in abroad is remarkable but with the growth of same it has found its core in India.
In India biotechnology has come useful in terms of understanding the pattern of DNA and the outcome of such study could be very useful in terms of determining their status and distribution of numerous threatened species. Compilation of study could come handy to determine genetic materials which in turn would result in recognition and removal of diseases from a gene pool says Anoop Das, assistant professor, DGM MES Mampad College and a trustee at the Wildlife Research and Conservation Trust in Kerala.
Wildlife Tourism Although there was a series of discussion took place regarding tourism and its ravages over wildlife and with such debate they constituted the situation to construct the core of eco tourism which in turn would promise the conservation and holistic environment.
Stands of eco tourism have provided many opportunities to touring students to shape their career in wildlife tour operation. Reiterates Minakshi Pandey, executive director, TOF Tiger India, said, if we talk about wildlife tours then it has pursue an occasion and the growth of career in this field have increased considerably.
Many organisations have found their way and they have shifted their focus in terms of providing clients exclusive experiences such as photographic tours, educational workshops which in turn would support the theme of wildlife awareness and wildlife conservation.
Candidate can look for job in many wildlife sectors as tour operator or can even work individually as tour consultant but one would require having excellent knowledge regarding wildlife.
