Is it possible to win the work life balance being an entrepreneur mom?

Let me set the scene for you...

It’s 4:45 a.m.

You are in your home office tackling one of the many errors from your upcoming product launch. You are doing your best to type using only your right hand because you are rocking your cranky toddler withj your left arm.

The aroma of bacon and eggs hit your senses and you are quickly reminded that you are cooking breakfast for your five year old daughter. You rush to the kitchen to flip the eggs while holding your drowsy toddler.

Your arm is getting numb from the weight of your sleeping bundle of joy. You decide it's time to set him down in his crib, so you can go back to your office to clean up the virtual mess. Just as you are sitting down in your office chair, you hear the footsteps of your five year old enter the room.

She says in the sweetest voice, "Mommy my tummy is growling. Can you make me a plate of breakfast?"

On the outside, you can look as if you are superwoman. On the inside, you are struggling to keep it together for the rest of the day.

It's only 5:10 a.m.!

Does this sound familiar? If so, then I’m right there with you.

It's not always easy being an entrepreneurial mom who works at home. It takes a lot of commitment and discipline to create the perfect balance between work and family

Everyday is different from the next.

Motivating Other Entrepreneur Moms Who Are Seeking The Work Life Balance

The summer break is one of the craziest times of the year for me. My home looks like a small public school instead of my personal sanctuary.

There are kids occupying every room in my household and most of them aren’t even mine!

I may complain about the extra pile of dishes and the refrigerator raids but I’m totally grateful.

Rosemary Nichols the host of the Motivating Other Moms podcast (M.O.M. Radio) invited me to make a guest appearance to talk about this very subject. It's always a joy to connect with other moms who are also entrepreneurs.

I share my experiences of maintaining the work life balance being an entrepreneur mom.

We also talk about how my near death experience inspired me to reach my next level of greatness as a successful entrepreneur mom.

Strong emotions of being scared and afraid surface every time I reveal this redefining moment of my life during media appearances.

When I was bedridden and facing homelessness, I remember with clarity the memory that flashed through my mind.

My memory of being homeless for a brief period before motherhood. I was 19 years old, responsible for myself, and I didn't respect money.

It's easy for us to get things done when our ass is on the line. That moment in my life was THE event that put me on the entrepreneurial path. I refused to put my son through the living nightmare of not having a safe place to rest his head at night.

This time around, I was in my mid 20's, responsible for my family, bedridden, and I totally respected money.

Now it's your turn...

I appreciate you taking the time to read this post. How do you get anything done with your online business when you have your family fighting for your attention?

What experience or experiences in your past completely altered your life for the better?

I would love to hear your feedback about this post in the comments section.
