As for the former, I was at the game Monday and it was obvious when Wacha had a no-hitter going that the chanting of his last name by the crowd was NOT having the desired effect. By the 9th they were chanting the reliever's first name with similar results. My son observed that perhaps that energy would be better spent cheering the player's name: "MAR-TE! MAR-TE!" instead of chanting: "TRE-VOR... TRE-VOR". That **** worked great on Cueto and we got dick-head Dusty fired... but to continue it is Bush League, IMO. I don't want the Pirates fan-base to get a bad rep like fans from some other teams. We're better than that.
