Budget Makeup Starter Kit.

By Poorva @beautifuljrny

Hello everyone

Here we go with another long pending post from my drafts!

These days all girls want to look their best and simple makeup just helps them achieve the right look. But not everyone can afford high-end makeup, and that shouldn’t discourage anyone as these days there is a plethora of good-quality options out there in the market at various prices!

So, today I’m sharing with you all a budget makeup starter kit with all the essentials best suited for school/college going girls or those who want light makeup at light prices!!!

This is also ideal for those who just want to start using makeup but are not sure how and where to start!

Personally, I’m the kind of girl who likes her makeup to be long staying and something which doesn’t require touch ups. I don’t like my kajal smudging, my liner fading away, face makeup melting etc. For this, choice of products is important as well as quality. So, I have kept these things in mind while creating this kit for you all!

Garnier BB Cream, nivea, maybelline

For face makeupGarnier BB cream, BB creams are perfect for those who want a multi tasking product as BB creams moisturize, give sheer coverage and also sun protection. Whereas the Garnier BB cream is ideal for those with dry-combination skin, the Maybelline BB stick is best suited to those with oily skin. So, take your pick

Garnier BB cream – Rs.99/-
Maybelline BB stick – Rs.250/-

Rimmel stay matte pressed powder – a powder is a must in summers if you live in a place like Delhi :/ it’s availability is a problem so the other budget option I would suggest is – Maybelline Clear Glow compact(INR175). If you can get the Rimmel one, I highly suggest you do get it! It’s the perfect powder for its price IMO.

Rimmel stay matte powder – Rs.195/-
Maybelline Clear Glow compact – Rs.175/-

But if you have dry skin, you can easily skip the compact.

With the Maybelline BB stick too, you can skip powder as it mattifies the face well. This depends on your needs!

Although I find that the Maybelline BB stick doubles up as a concealer very well, but if you still need a good concealer, I recommend – Inglot Freedom System concealer at INR250.

Inglot Freedom System Concealer – Rs.250/-

Maybelline gel liner – you can easily buy pencil/liquid liners for a lesser price but as I mentioned above I prefer long staying makeup which doesn’t need touchups. And a gel liner is perfect for this purpose. You don’t even need to think about your liner/kajal if you have this on. And yes, it also works both as a kajal and liner.

Maybelline gel eyeliner – Rs.410/-
Maybelline hyper curl mascara – Rs.215/-

Maybelline hyper curl mascara, it was my first mascara and one which I still love J it does a great job and is totally pocket friendly!

Since it’s an essentials/basic makeup kit, I’ve not included any eye shadow. But if you want to, you can try – Maybelline Color Tattoo eyeshadows – brilliant quality, brilliant price, and brilliant ease of use. ‘nuff said!

Maybelline color tattoo eyeshadow – Rs.350/-

Lipsticks – I, myself am new to lipsticks and these days I feel like I want every possible shade but that can be very expensive, so that’s where budget friendly options come into play like these –

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipticks

Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipsticks.

They have amazing quality and a great shade range and you’re bound to find your perfect pink, coral or red!

Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick – Rs.215/-
Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick – Rs.275/-
Nivea fruity shine lip balm – Rs.139/-

If you don’t want heavy duty lipsticks, I suggest go for tinted lip balms and the best in this business is none other than Nivea.

Nivea Fruity Shine lip balms are beyond amazing and I always keep one handy in my bag

So, that’s the starter kit I recommend to you all! You can ask me any queries you want to.
