I am in love and I am angry that why did I not try these Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick earlier. So thats that and lets begin discussing my love affair with this particular lipstick. I was going through my stash of lipsticks and I wasnt happy with my nude lipsticks collection so that was the excuse I gave when I went hunting for warm nude shades.

At first when I saw this shade I was like this isnt that light to come in the “nude lipstick” category.but then I swatched it and I was so surprised by the texture it was so smooth ans so utterly butterly soft on the back of my hand that it felt as if I havent even swatched the product. I was impressed, but the color showed up lighter than it was in the lipstick tube, which was okay for me as I wanted something that is not too light and not too deep. So the texture impressed me a lot and the pigmentation was decent , if you want the true color on the tube you need to apply it twice which is fine by me.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick Nudeist is a warm dusty rosy muted pink color…I hope that makes sense. As you can see from the pictures it is a pretty difficult color to describe. And I like how I can layer it up to its full intensity for a deeper more warm color and its also light enough to go with heavy smokey eyes makeup.

The staying power is the highlight of these liquid lipsticks I feel, I have used a brighter more dark color from this range Ole Flamingo and that lipstick stayed put all day and just feathered here and there a little bit, but with the lighter colors I feel I cant expect it to stay put all day..but this one did, it stayed put for a good 6 plus hours, it even survived a full meal, so I guess that is pretty darn good. But it doesnt stay as long as the brighter shade did.

These are matte lipsticks and they are a bit drying on the lips if you have very dry and chapped lips, this one in particular Nude-ist is on the creamy side and not very drying but it makes sense to exfoliate and moisturize your lips before applying it on your lips. Once applied it doesnt even feel like you have on any lip product its very light weight and doesnt feel heavy at all.

I am in love with these I went ahead and picked up another nudish kind of liquid from this range that was more on the cool tone side a little more pink..but that is for another post, the name although I will share its D’ont Pink About It.
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Matte is a super smooth buttery soft long staying matte liquid lipstick . What more can you ask for? Until next time…
